The EC Department of Human Settlements, as led by MEC Siphokazi Lusithi, will launch the Short Learning Programme and sign a renewed Memorandum of Understanding with the Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha on\u00a0 08 July 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Short Learning Programme is part of hands-on-support offered by the Department to municipalities, traditional leaders and officials. It plays a vital role in professionalizing the Human Settlements Sector, aiming to improve planning and contribute to the development of better cities and villages across the province. The programme will equip participants with knowledge on the theories and practices of Informal Settlements Upgrading, housing delivery processes, and the management of public participation in housing programs and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Human Settlements and Nelson Mandela University will renew the Memorandum of Understanding formally appointing the University to deliver the specialized short learning programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
