The programme seeks to address the backlog in the issuing of title deeds, ensuring that beneficiaries of government housing programmes obtain full legal ownership of their homes and enjoy security of tenure.<br>The MEC will begin the programme with home visits to three elderly beneficiaries to personally hand over their title deeds. This will be followed by a community engagement and an official title deeds handover ceremony at the Adelaide Community Hall.<br>The 182 title deeds form part of the Adelaide 428 Subsidy Scheme and Adelaide 624 Project.<br>10 July 2026: Oversight visit to Seymour<br>On Thursday, 10 July 2026, MEC Lusithi will conduct an oversight visit to the Department of Social Development Service Offices in Seymour, Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality.<br>The facility is currently undergoing renovations and upgrades aimed at improving its functionality, expanding office space, and creating a more conducive working environment for both staff and clients.
