MEC of Human Settlements, Ms Nonkqubela Pieters, will hand over 8 completed enhanced houses for the first military veteran\u2019s project in BCMM, on Tuesday, 24 November 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The project implemented by the Provincial Department of Human Settlements in phases has a total of 28 houses and allocated budget of R6 million.\u00a0The project scope entails the construction of 28 housing units (50 m2) in various wards, both rural and urban, that include, internal and external plastering and painting, insulated ceiling, electrical tubing, 1m aprons, tiled roofs and gutters, septic tank, car-port, fencing of site, floor tiling with ceramic tiles. A total of 8 houses in Dimbaza are completed in this project and will be handed over on the day.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the military veterans set to receive new houses include 54-year-old Simphiwe Luguxa, who is unemployed and currently living with his wife and 4 children at his mother\u2019s house. 50-year-old Thembinkosi Saliwa who is married with 3 children will also receive a new house. The other beneficiary is 49-year-old Ayanda Nkala who is living with his wife and 3 children in a family home in Ndevana. The other beneficiary is 50-year-old Mntunzima Gqoloda who is unemployed and living with his 5 children in his family home.<\/p>\n<p>One of the qualifying criteria is for the military veteran to belong to a registered Association within the database of the Department of Military Veterans.
