HUMAN SETTLEMENTS MEC, NONCEBA KONTSIWE TO HAND OVER A 10.1-MILLION RANDS MULTI PURPOSE COMMUNITY CENTRE IN REESTON

Eastern Cape, Human Settlements MEC, Nonceba Kontsiwe will be handing over a 10-million rands Multi-Purpose Community Centre in Reeston, East London on Friday, 23rd April 2021. This as a response to a problem identified in 2014, that Reeston community in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, was in dire need of a facility that would accommodate the growing demands of social and economic amenities.
The Human Settlements Department partnering with the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality initiated the development of this Multi-Purpose Community Centre (MPCC) as part of promoting social cohesion. The MPCC which is located in Ward 13 in BCM will be utilised as a Multi-use Indoor hall for sports and events. It also has Meeting Rooms and a Kitchen for events with catering. The media is invited for its handover.
