Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi and Deputy Minister Pam Tshwete with the Eastern Cape MEC for Human Settlements Nonceba Khontsiwe, visiting areas affected by the recent torrential rain in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
The heavy downpours which occurred on the 8th of January 2022, affected areas such as Duncan Village, Kei Road, and Mdantsane amongst others.
Interventions have been made by the Municipality, government departments, and NGOs to provide aid to the victims. Temporary Residential Units will also be provided as of today to residents who lost their homes.
