MEC NONCEBA KONTSIWE TO HAND OVER 530 TITLE DEEDS IN TARKASTAD
East London ——– Hundreds of low-cost housing beneficiaries in Tarkastad will receive official documentation to their homes as Human Settlements MEC, Nonceba Kontsiwe, is expected to handover 530 title deeds to rightful beneficiaries on Monday, 11 April 2022. The handover coincides with the Freedom Month Commemoration which seeks to restore human dignity.
Issuing of title deeds is one of the Department’s priorities ensuring that beneficiaries can legally own their properties. The Department together with the Enoch Mgijima LM have undertaken a verification process to ensure the rightful beneficiaries receive their title deeds.
There are 530 recipients of title deeds in Enoch Mgijima local municipality who benefitted from the Tarkastad 671 housing project.
This financial year the Department has committed to register 8000 title deeds.
