MEC SIPHOKAZI LUSITHI TO HANDOVER HOUSE BUILT FOR KSD DISASTER AFFECTED FAMILY

East London——– In efforts to assist disaster hit communities and help rebuild the lives of those affected, Eastern Cape MEC for Human Settlements, Siphokazi Lusithi, will hand over a house to a destitute family in King Sabata Dalindyebo (KSD) LM on 09 September 2022.

The beneficiary is 36- year- old Zoleka Tukani who has five dependents in Mputi village, Baziya. The Tukani family was left homeless when their house was destroyed by a heavy storm in 2020. The Department provided them with a temporary structure as an immediate intervention while awaiting a permanent solution. Stakeholders were mobilised by the Department to assist the family in helping to rebuild their lives.
